How long in advance should you schedule your dinosaur party/event?

We recommend that you schedule as early as possible even if it is 6 months in advance.  Weekends are the busiest time for the dinosaurs and so you won’t want to miss out on the day of your party/event.  We try to accommodate last minute bookings but only if there are times available.

What type of parties/events do the dinosaurs perform at?

Birthday Parties, Corporate Events, School Events, Fairs/Festivals, City/Community Events, Grand Openings, Conventions, Movie Premiers, Parades, Fundraisers, Weddings, Halloween Parties and even Pranks.

How long will the dinosaurs perform?

  • For birthday parties, we recommend just 1 hour.  After that, most children are ready to eat their cake.  In the middle of that hour, the dinosaur will need a water break for about 10 minutes.  We will perform longer if desired for an additional fee.

What’s the cost?

  • For birthday parties that last 1 hour, the cost is $425 for 1 life-size dinosaur and 2 baby dinosaurs; the cost for 2 life-size dinosaurs and 2 baby dinosaurs is $675.
  • For other events, please speak with us directly.
  • Travel fees may apply if more than 25 miles away from the DFW airport. And yes, the dinosaurs will travel far beyond that distance.
  • For payment, we accept Venmo, Zelle, AlignPay, PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
  • Our entertainers make an hourly rate. If however you feel that they have done an extraordinary performance, they do accept gratuities.

What happens if the party/event can’t start on time?

  • We must start and end at the scheduled time as agreed upon at the time of booking.  Other parties/events may be scheduled afterwards so we must be respectful to them.
  • We encourage you to remind your guests to arrive on time to fully participate in the entertainment.

What happens if there is inclement weather?

Outside parties are always fun but there can be a chance of rain or even snow.  If you are planning an outdoor party/event, please have a backup plan in the event of unexpected weather issues.  The dinosaur costumes are expensive and can’t get wet.  Pavilions, large canopies or moving the party/event indoors are great options; but remember, the dinosaurs are large (7 feet tall and 13 feet long) so it may be wise not to plan for them to enter your home.

What about parking?

We request that you reserve a parking spot for our vehicle and trailer in the driveway, on the street or near the party/event. The dinosaur will need to have easy access to your party/event. If the venue requires the parking to be located in a parking garage, paid parking lot or on a metered street, we ask that you are prepared to reimburse us for the cost of such upon arrival.

Will the dinosaurs scare children?

  • Some children are scared at first.  We recommend that little children have a parent nearby to help soothe the initial shock of a dinosaur. 
  • Dinosaurs also have “roaring” capabilities.
  • We will be as gentle as possible to all children (adults – not so much).

How do the dinosaurs operate?

These are dinosaur costumes with animatronic abilities.  We have an entertainer inside the costume operating the movement of the Body, Head, Mouth, Blinking Eyes and the roaring sounds.  We include a “handler” as well to help with the movement, entertainment and safety of the dinosaur.

How can you help ensure the entertainment is fun for all?

  • Be prepared with a camera.  Memories may fade but pictures are forever!
  • Help keep your guests from trying to abuse the dinosaur (no riding, pulling on the tail, etc.).  We want your guest to touch and feel the dinosaur but it has feelings too.
  • Have water available for the performers.  Texas is HOT especially inside a 50 lb costume.
  • Have someone designated and available to direct and answer questions upon arrival and throughout the party/event.
  • Let us know in advance what activities and games you would like the dinosaur to participate in:
    • Pictures
    • Dancing
    • Feeding the dinosaur
    • Walk the dinosaur with a leash
    • The laying of the egg
    • Kick the ball
    • “Roar-off” contest
    • Stomp on the balloon
    • Shoot the dinosaur with a nerf gun (if appropriate)
    • Scare a neighbor, eat your boss
    • Open to many other ideas
